Fourth Meeting: Public Hearing

Per the state website: The public is invited to participate in this virtual hearing of the Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund Study Commission. To register to testify, please provide your contact information via this form by Monday, July 19th, at 5:00pm. Once registered, you will receive further instructions on how to participate.

The Chairs will limit testimony to 3 minutes per speaker. If you plan to testify as a panel, please note the name(s) of your co-panelist(s) on the form when registering. All panelists listed will need to register individually via the sign-up form.

Written or pre-recorded testimony may be submitted to the Committee either through the sign-up form or via email to emily.reynolds@mahouse.gov

NOTE: The Commission is studying long term solvency of the unemployment insurance trust fund. This is different than the solvency fee that is a part of the unemployment contribution rate for employers. The commission may discuss the solvency fee as it relates to the long-term solvency of the UI trust fund. However, this is not a bill hearing on H3702 that established the COVID Employer Relief Account in May. Testimony should be focused on long-term solvency reforms.

This meeting will be available for viewing via livestream on www.malegislature.gov
